Noble cowboy Gene Autry (Gene Autry) travels to New York City along with Frog Millhouse (Smiley Burnette) to persuade Tom Bennett (Edward Norris) to return to his hometown and run his late father's cattle ranch. However, when the trio reach Arizona, they learn that contamination from a nearby copper mine has poisoned the herd.
