The Battle of Perecué, also known as Battle of Tayí Island, was an armed conflict that occurred during the Paraguayan War. Paraguayan general Bernardino Caballero's troops launched guerrilla-style raids on the Allied encampment in the Tayí area, near the Humaitá Fortress.
