Bees are a monophyletic lineage within the superfamily Apoidea. They are currently considered a clade, called Anthophila.

A new predator could soon ailing bee populations threatens the UK.

It is a large hornet eats Bees and other pollinators. The so-called "Asian hornet" was, was spreading throughout Europe over The Last two decades. He reached the French coast in the year 2016 and the channel Islands is already a problem.

The Fear is that the British mainland could be next, as our chief environmental correspondent Justin Rowlatt reports.
