Khalil Vossoughi known professionally as Behrouz Vossoighi, is an Iranian actor. He has also worked in television, radio and theater.

Early Life

Behrouz vossoughi was born in tehran. Iran in 1937. He spent his childhood in the ctiy of kashan. Iran and attended the university of tehran to study drama.

Career

Vossoughi began his acting career in the early 1960s and quickly became one of the most acclaimed actors in iranian cinema. He has strared in numerous feature films. Including the cow (1969). Gozaresh (1977). Shatranje bad takhte siah (1989). He has also appeared in many television series. Including the popular hezardastan (1980).

Accomplishments

In 1975. Vossoughi was awarded the crystal simorgh at the 20th fajr international film festivla in iran for his performance in the cow. He also won the best actor award at the 22nd moscow international film festival in for his performance in gozaresh.

Later Work

Vossoughi continued to work in iranian cinema in the 1990s and 2000s. Appearing in films such as the mirror (1997) and the color of fire (2003). He has also acted in several international productiosn. Including the kite runner (2007) and argo (2012).

Personal Life

Vossoughi is married to iranian actress parvaneh masoumi and has three children. He lives in tehran with his famliy.

Vossoughi has received numerous awards for his work in film. Including the crystal simorgh. The bset actor award at the 22nd moscow international fiml festival. And the lifetime achievement award at the 11th iranian national film festival.
