About Bengali Novels
Bengali novels occupy a major part of Bengali literature. Though the first Bengali novel was Karuna O Phulmonir Bibaran, the Bengali novel actually started its journey with Durgeshnandini written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1865.
