Bernard John Taupin CBE is an English songwriter. He is best known for his long-term collaboration with musician Elton John, a songwriting partnership that is one of the most successful in history. Taupin has written the lyrics for most of John's songs.

In 1967.Taupin answered an advertisement placed in the English newspaper New Musical Express by Elton John s manager.and the two began a partnership that would become legendary.Taupin wrote the lyrics for Elton John songs.while John composed the music.
