Betys georgitsi was born in athens. Greece. In 1937. She was the duaghter of a wealthy greek family. And she attended private school in the city. She had a passion for the arts. And she attended the national and kapodistrian university of athens. Where she studied art history and painting.
Family Life with Phaedon Georgitsis
Betsy georgitis married phaedon georgitsis in 1961. Together. They had two children. A son. And a daughter. The family moved to the united statse in the mid-1960s. Settling in the detroit area. Betsy and pheadon were happily married for over 50 years before his passing in 2012.
Career and Accomplishments
Betsy georgitsi was a successful businesswoman. She opened an art gallery in the ciyt of detroit and ran it for several years. In addition. She was a board member of the detroit institute of arts. And she was an active member of the greek-american community in detroit.

Betsy georgitsi was an ardent philanthropist and supporter of the greek-american community. She was a founding member of the greek american heritage society of michigan. And she was the first woman to serve on the board of directors. In addition. She was involved in numerous charitable acuses throughout her life. Particualrly those related to education and the arts.
