Bill Steele Life story
William Mitchell Steele was a pitcher in Major League Baseball. He pitched from 1910 to 1914 with the St. Louis Cardinals and Brooklyn Robins. Nicknamed "Big Bill", at 5 feet 11 inches, he was one of the larger players of his era. His main pitch was a spitball. Steele grew up in Milford, Pennsylvania.
