BOAC Flight 781 was a de Havilland Comet passenger jet, operated by British Overseas Airways Corporation, that crashed on 10 January 1954 after suffering an explosive decompression at altitude. The Comet crashed into the sea near Elba Island, off the Italian coast, killing all 35 people on board.
