Bob Mielke

Bob Mielke was a superb musician. His versatile trombone sound ranged from Kid Ory's New Orleans tailgate style to the Harlem swing of J.C. Higginbotham. Bob Mielke's Bearcats was one of the most popular and creative jazz bands of the Traditional Jazz revival movement, c. 1954-70. RIP Bob (1927-2020)
