Calpis is a Japanese uncarbonated soft drink, manufactured by Calpis Co. , Ltd. , headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo. Calpis Co. is a subsidiary of Asahi. The beverage has a light, somewhat milky, and slightly acidic flavor, similar to plain or vanilla flavored yogurt or Yakult.
