Cape Breton Highlands National Park is on Cape Breton Island, in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. Lining the craggy coastline, the Cabot Trail scenic highway offers sweeping ocean views. The vast Cape Breton Plateau contains hills, river canyons, valleys and forests home to wildlife like moose and black bears. In the park's southeast corner, sandy Ingonish Beach divides Freshwater Lake from the Atlantic Ocean.
