Carl Eggers Life story
Carl Johann Adolf Eggers was a German historical painter born in Neu Strelitz. He was instructed by Friedrich Matthäi at Dresden. He discovered the old mode of fresco-painting, and was employed in the Vatican at Rome, where he painted in the Braccio Nuovo.
