Carlo Abate Life story
Carlo Abate was the most influential sculptor to ever live in Barre. He was born in Milan, Italy, in 1860 and, after establishing himself as an eminent artist, arrived in Barre in 1899 to work as a sculptor. Amazingly, his artistic influence is still felt in The Granite City.
