Carlos Piantini Life story
PIANTINI, CARLOS, the internationally acclaimed conductor, died in NY at 82. The native Dominican was the first Latino to integrate the NY Philharmonic and led orchestras all over the world. Among his numerous accomplishments, he was founder and director of FIUs Symphony Orchestra and Orchestral Studies Program.
