About Castro Pretorio
Pedestrians pour from Termini train station into this busy area. Once known for its bare-bones hotels, it now has boutique lodging and hip hostels alongside basic pizzerias and delis. The vast Baths of Diocletian display ancient sculptures, and the adjacent Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri was designed by Michelangelo. The elegant fountain at Piazza della Repubblica is a neighborhood landmark.
