Catherine Dowley Life story
Catherine was born August 13, 1928 in Yarmouth county, Nova Scotia. She was the "out of wedlock" daughter of Emery Allen and Maud Dowley, more well known as Maud Lewis, celebrated Canadian folk artist. She married Paul Muise in 1949 in Yarmouth county and several years after their marriage, they moved to Ontario.
