About Cayenne
Cayenne is the capital of French Guiana, on the northeast coast of South America. Its 17th-century old town district blends influences from France, the Caribbean and Brazil. Tropical-colored Creole-style houses sit beside hilltop ruins of the French colonial Fort Cépérou, which overlooks the Cayenne River.
