About Celaya
Celaya is a city in central Mexico, northwest of Mexico City. It's known for grand colonial buildings like San Francisco Temple and the Celaya Cathedral, both remodeled by local architect Francisco Eduardo Tresguerras. The municipal cemetery has a small Museum of Mummies. Murals of Mexican figures adorn the Municipal Palace on the arcaded Plaza de Armas. The Regional History Museum commemorates local events.
