About Cévennes National Park
Cévennes National Park encompasses a rugged area in southern France. Its plateaus are cut by valleys and gorges with rivers like the Jonte and Tarn. The Tarn Gorge has towering cliffs and is dotted with medieval villages. Mont Aigoual's slopes are home to the Prat Peyrot ski resort. Harriers and kestrels soar over the high granite peak of Mont Lozère. Aven Armand cave, with funicular access, has dramatic stalagmites.
