Charles A. Eldredge Life story
Charles Augustus Eldredge was a U. S. Representative from Wisconsin. Born in Bridport, Vermont, Eldredge moved with his parents to Canton, St. Lawrence County, New York, in 1825. He attended the common schools. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1846 and commenced practice in Canton, New York.
