Charles J. Hitch Life story
Charles J. Hitch was an American economist and Assistant Secretary of Defense from 1961 to 1965. He later served as vice chancellor and president of the University of California and president of Resources for the Future. Hitch was born in Boonville, Missouri to Arthur M. Hitch and Bertha Johnston.
