About Chubut Province
Chubut is a province in Patagonian Argentina, set on vast plains between the Andes Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. Its remote Valdés Peninsula is home to Southern Right whales, elephant seals and penguins. The beachside city of Puerto Madryn is a gateway for excursions to both the Valdés Peninsula and Punta Tombo, sheltering a Magellanic penguin breeding colony.
