Almost £7 billion was raised to immunise 300 million children in a virtual global vaccine summit, hosted by the UK.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said up to eight million lives saved, as a result of the funds pledged at the Gavi vaccine summit in Brussels on Thursday.
The Money will help immunise children against diseases such as polio, diphtheria and measles over five years.
Mr Johnson said that the triumph of humanity over disease was the "largest joint effort on the part of our life-time".
The Summit raised money for Gavi, a global Alliance of public and private organizations for the promotion of vaccination to The World 's poorest communities.
Commitments from More Than 50 countries and individuals, such as billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates saw the total exceed a first target of $7. 4bn (nearly £6bn).
Mr Gates donated $1. 6bn (£1. 3 billion) from its Foundation, and Mr Johnson pledged £1. 65bn over The Next five years, making the UK the organisation, which is the largest donor.
