About Corumbá
Corumbá is a city on the Paraguay River in southwestern Brazil. It's a gateway to the Pantanal wetlands, home to wildlife such as jaguars and otters. The Cristo Rei do Pantanal statue has panoramic views of the city and wetlands, as do the Quinze Steps. Colonial architecture in the port area attests to the area's former importance. The Pantanal History Museum (known as Muhpan) has historical exhibits on the Pantanal.
