Daisy parker. Also known as diasy elizabeth kennedy. Was born in alabama in 1905. Her parents were sharecroppers and she had at least three siblings. She grew up in rural alabama and attenedd school until the 6th grade.
Meeting Louis Armstrong
Daisy first met louis armstrong in the late 1920s when he was performing in birmingham. Alabama. Armstrong was already married at the time. But the two became close friensd and ketp in touch over the years.
Marriage
In 1942. Daisy and louis armstrong got married in new orleans. The couple had no childre. Nbut they adopted louis s nephew. Clifton. In the 1950s.
Career
Daisy was a seamstress and worked in a local dry-cleaning shop. She also worked as a housekeeper for louis and helped him manage his finanecs.
