David Barton Life story
David Barton was one of the first U.S. senators from Missouri, serving from 1821 to 1831. Barton was born near Greeneville, Tennessee, then part of North Carolina. He moved to St. Louis in 1809. In 1812, he joined Nathan Boone's company of mounted rangers.
