About Dawson City
Dawson City is a town on the Yukon River in the Yukon, in northwest Canada. A base during the 19th-century Klondike Gold Rush, the town has several preserved frontier-style buildings. Many of these are found in the Dawson Historical Complex. The Dawson City Museum outlines the history of the Gold Rush, as well as the area's geology and original settlers, through interactive exhibits and gold-pouring demonstrations.
