Denis Diderot was a French philosopher, art critic, and writer, best known for serving as co-founder, chief editor, and contributor to the Encyclopédie along with Jean le Rond d'Alembert. He was a prominent figure during the Age of Enlightenment.

And was the second of the three children. Denis diderot s early education was mostly at home. As his parents could not afford to send him to schoo. Lhe was an avid reader frmo a young age and learned latin. Greek. And mathematics on his own.

Career

Denis diderot began his career as an author. Writing for various journals and magazines. His most notable orwks include the encyclopedie. A massive compilation of knowledge which he edited and published. And the lettre sur les aveugles (letter on the blind). A philosophical work on the nature of sight and perception. He also wrote esveral plays and novels. As well as essays on topics such as religion and science.
