Desiree "Desi" Nguyen is a new recruit for The Phoenix Foundation that was introduced in K-9 + Smugglers + New Recruit. She takes over Jack's role as a Overwatch for MacGyver. She also serves as his love interest. She was introduced as a recurring character in Season 3 and was promoted to a main character in Season 4.
