DIETER WIESMÜLLER, geboren 1950 in Rotenburg, studierte Grafik, Malerei und Illustration in Hamburg. Er hat neben zahlreichen Umschlägen für Bücher viele Jahre Titelbilder für Der Spiegel und den Stern illustriert sowie eigene Bilderbücher geschrieben und gezeichnet.
