Dörte Franke Life story
Dörte Franke, documentarist and writer, was born in Leipzig in 1974. In 1982, she left East Germany and moved to West Germany. Franke studied politics, German literature, and history in Cologne, and then drama studies at the Academy for Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg from 2001 to 2005.
