The dusky darter is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus Percina, found, but not confined to, both large and small rivers, and shallow creeks, in the eastern, southern, and southeastern United States, particularly the Mississippi River drainage system. Percina are benthic and benthic-associated fishes.
