Ed Mayer Life story
Edwin David Mayer was a professional baseball pitcher. A 6 ft 2 in left-hander, Mayer played parts of two seasons in Major League Baseball for the Chicago Cubs in 1957 and 1958. He also pitched in the minor leagues from 1952 to 1959. Prior to playing professionally, he attended Lowell High School in San Francisco.
