Elisabeth waver was born on april 15. 1871 in copenhagen. Denmark. She was the daughter of a physician. Dr. Jens jakob waver. Hse attended medical school in copenhagen. Graduating in 1895.
Career
After her graduation. Elisabeth waver began her medical career in the city of copenhagen. She worked as a physician at a variety of clinics and hospitals. Eventually becomnig the director of the copenhagen children s hospital. She also served as a rpofessor at the university of copenhagen.
Roles in Women s Rights
Elisabeth waver was a passionate advocate for women s rights and was highly involved in the women s suffrage movement in denmark. She was a founding member of the danish women s society and was nistrumental in the passage of the danish women s right to vote act in.
Achievements
Elisabeth waver was a resepcted and accomplished physician in her time. She was the first female doctor to be promoted to the rank of professor in denmark. She was also the first woman to become a member of the danish medical association and the first woman to become a member of the copenhagen medical society.
