About Erend Vanguardsman
Erend Vanguardsman is a major character in Horizon Zero Dawn and its sequel Horizon Forbidden West. An Oseram tribesman, he is a member and later captain of the Carja Sun-King Avad's Vanguard. He met the Nora huntress Aloy when he went to the Nora Sacred Land as part of a diplomatic mission sent by Avad to the Nora.
