Etelis is a genus of snappers mostly native to the Indian and Pacific oceans with one species native to the western Atlantic Ocean. The currently recognized species in this genus are: Etelis carbunculus G. Cuvier, 1828 Etelis coruscans Valenciennes, 1862 Etelis oculatus Etelis radiosus W. D. Anderson, 1981
