Ethel Snowden Life story
Ethel Snowden, Viscountess Snowden, was a British socialist, human rights activist, and feminist politician. From a middle-class background, she became a Christian Socialist through a radical preacher and initially promoted temperance and teetotalism in the slums of Liverpool.
