Ezekiel C. Gathings Life story
Ezekiel Candler "Took" Gathings was a U. S. Representative from Arkansas, representing Arkansas' First Congressional District from 1939 to 1969. A conservative and segregationist, Gathings was an ally of Strom Thurmond, and stood against all civil rights legislation.
