About Failaka Island
Failaka is a Kuwaiti island in the Persian Gulf (Arabian Gulf). It's known for the 1950s traditional houses of Heritage Village. The Museum Palace of Sheikh Abdullah Al Salim Al Sabah shows life in the 1900s. Camels and Arabian horses are kept at Failaka Stables. Once an outpost of Alexander the Great's army, Failaka has Mesopotamian-era ruins, including the remains of a citadel. Jet skis are popular at Wanasa Beach.
