Farrukh-Zad, was sultan of the Ghaznavid Empire from ca. 1053 to 4 April 1059. His reign was considered one of benevolence, prosperity and tranquility for the Ghaznavid empire. It was free of the chaotic turbulence and greed from palace ghulams until the end of his reign.
