A collaboration between C-SPAN and the White House Historical Association, the documentary series spotlights the women who served in the high-profile role through the first 44 administrations -- from Martha Washington to Michelle Obama. Episodes detail the first ladies' time in the White House, interests they championed, how they influenced the presidents' policy decisions and how they approached both private and public life. Some episodes profile multiple first ladies but, with most, each focuses on just one.
