About Formosa Province
Formosa is a province in northeast Argentina, bordering Paraguay. The capital, also called Formosa, has a promenade by the Paraguay River, plus Plaza San Martín, a large square dotted with fountains, sculptures and flowering trees. North lie the swamps, lagoons and hardwood forests of Parque Nacional Río Pilcomayo. It's home to abundant birdlife, plus alligators, pumas and endangered species such as the maned wolf.
