About Fort Foster State Historic Site
Fort Foster is a Second Seminole War era fort in central Florida, located 9 miles south of current-day Zephyrhills in Pasco County. Fort Foster was originally built in December 1836 under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel William S. Foster on the site of Fort Alabama.
