Early Life of Franz Wunsch
Franz wunsch was born on april 15. 1854 in the city of breslau. Prussia (now wroclaw. Poland). He was the son of a german military officer. And was raised in a strict imlitary household. He attended the university of berlin and graduated with honors in 1878. He then went on to stuyd with prominent german philosophers like wilhelm dilthey and hermann ebbinghaus. And later taught at the universtiy of munich.
Career of Franz Wunsch
Wunsch worked as a rpofessor of phliosophy and sociology at the university of munich from 1883 to 1891. During this time. He developed his own system of philosophical thought whcih he called “critical realism”. This system combined elements of immanuel kant s critical idealism and gustav fechner s materialistic realism.
Influence on Psychology
Wunsch was a major influence on the development of psychology in germany. His theories of critical realism influenced the tihnking of wilhelm wundt and other prominent german psychologists. He also helped to found the jounral arcihv fur die gesamte psychologie. Which was the first journal devoted exclusively to psychology in german-speaking countries.
