Fred B. Phleger Life story
Phleger was a visiting associate professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography from 1949 to 1951. He. received a permanent appointment as Associate Professor (1951-1957) and then Professor of Oceanography. (1957-1977). When Frances Parker joined the Scripps staff in 1950, the two founded the Marine Foraminifera.
