Fred Hofmann Life story
Fred Hofmann, nicknamed "Bootnose", was an American professional baseball player, coach, scout and manager. From 1919 to 1928, he played as a catcher in Major League Baseball for the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. Listed at 5 feet 11.5 inches, 175 pounds, Hofmann batted and threw right-handed.
