Frederick Campbell Life story
Colonel Frederick Campbell, CB, VD, JP was a Scottish first-class cricketer and British Army officer. The son of Sir John Campbell, he was born at Edinburgh on 15 June 1843. He was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Royal Artillery in December 1861 and fought in the New Zealand Wars from 1864 to 1866.
