George Julius Engelmann Life story
George Julius Engelmann was an American obstetrician and gynecologist who was a native of St. Louis. He was the son of botanist Georg Engelmann. In 1867 Engelmann graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, and from 1867 until 1873, he studied medicine in Europe.
