George Ward Holdrege Life story
George Ward Holdrege was born in New York City on March 26, 1847, a son of Henry Jr., and Mary Grennell Holdrege. His father was a merchant of the city of New York, but later established the family home at Irving-on-Hudson, New York. George Holdrege attended Harvard and was a member of the crew team in 1867 and 1868.
